Designed for application of local anaesthetics prior to transvaginal follicle aspiration. With the pre-ovarian block (POB™) technique, the local anaesthetics is deposited with ultrasound guidance in an optimal place in the vaginal wall near the ovary. The follicle aspiration needle is thereafter introduced at the site of the deposited anaesthetics. The POB™ technique has been evaluated in a prospective, randomized multi-centre clinical study and was shown to be an efficient and safe method.

The POB™-needle is equipped with a luer-lock for connecting a syringe. The length of the POB™ needle is sufficient for use in combination with an ultrasound needle guide.
